Fanny Howe Experimental Prose Workshop: Fiction & Nonfiction July 2 to July 7, 2017 Tuition: $600 Workshop: 9am-12pm Discipline: Fiction ADVANCED On-site Housing Available

This is a workshop for writers with a prose manuscript in-progress that you want to modify and clarify. You will read some outside writing, both ancient and modern, that is strange enough to shake up the shapes of our sentences. Reading aloud will be part of each class, and improving your presentation too.

Biography

Over the years FANNY HOWE has written numerous books of fiction, essays and poetry, published mostly recently by Graywolf Press. She has won the Ruth Lilly Lifetime Achievement Award. Her most recent collection of poetry is Second Childhood, a Finalist for the National Book Award 2014. She was a Finalist for the Man Booker International Award, 2015. Her newest collection is The Needle’s Eye, a hybrid book. She lives in Massachusetts.
