2025 Summer Workshops

This workshop is part of Creative Nonfiction Week.
A week-long exploration working in intaglio to create multi color prints from one copper plate, combining traditional etching process with a la poupee inking, mono printing, chine colle, with the option of using a woodblock as a second plate/matrix. Artists can also work on copper plates using all intaglio techniques to print small editions and/or unique prints. Experimenting with new techniques and familiar ones you will complete an inspiring suite of prints. As this workshop is part of a week focused on creative non-fiction writing, there is an opportunity to consider and explore ideas that relate to narrative, portraits, and identity.
Ten sheets of white BFK Rives (22 x30 inches) will be provided as part of the materials fee. Additional sheets may be purchased from the Work Center at $5 per sheet.
