Returning Residency

During late spring and early fall, past Fellows and friends of the Work Center are invited to return to Provincetown for short term stays during our Returning Residency program, which offers artists and writers dedicated time to advance creative projects and ideas. During this time, apartments and studios are offered at reduced rates. The Returning Residency Program is open to past Fellows, Summer Program faculty and students, collaborative residents, and alumni of the MassArt/FAWC MFA program.

Michael Mazur Print Studio Residency

At select times throughout the spring, summer, and fall, one-week residencies are available for experienced printmakers in the Work Center’s state-of-the-art Michael Mazur Print Shop. Residents have full, private use of the print shop with 24/7 access. Optional on-site housing is also available. While no instruction is offered during this time, the studio is monitored and maintained for the duration of the residency. Collaborative Residencies

In partnership with other arts organizations around the country and abroad, the Fine Arts Work Center hosts custom-designed Collaborative Residencies. Writers or visual artists are selected on the merit of their work. Apartments, studio space, and stipends are sponsored by the collaborating organization. The Work Center provides space in Provincetown in which to work and, perhaps most importantly, a creative community of peers with whom to share and discuss ideas. 

The Stephen Pace Residency for mid-career painters provides a month-long, off-season residency for one mid-career painter in Provincetown.

The Pollock-Krasner Mid-Career Artist Residency provides a month-long residency for a visual artist that includes a stipend and open studio opportunity.
