SHARON POLLI
Executive Director

Sharon Polli was appointed Executive Director of the Fine Arts Work Center following a national search in spring 2021. Prior to her appointment, Sharon was the Executive Vice President of BRIC in Brooklyn, NY, a 40+-year leading arts, cultural and media institution in the heart of the Brooklyn Cultural District. Sharon has dedicated her professional career to advancing artistic voices and creating opportunities for emerging and mid-career artists, performers and media makers. Prior to BRIC, Sharon was the Deputy Executive Director of Groundswell, New York’s leading community public art organization. Sharon’s 20-year career has also included being Editor of CreateNYC, New York City’s first ever city-wide Cultural Plan, which was developed through a public engagement process that reached 200,000 participants. She served as an Executive Committee Board member of the Downtown Brooklyn Arts Alliance and Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of Theatre of the Oppressed NYC, an organization which partners with communities fighting against oppression to inspire transformative action through theatre. Bob received his MFA in Sculpture from Virginia Commonwealth University. He studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and was twice a fellow at the Fine Arts Work Center. He is also a member of the Visual Committee. Bob lives in Truro.

SUSAN BLOOD

Susan has worked in the arts for most of her career, including positions in art school administration, gallery management, and music publicity. Her work has appeared in the Christian Science Monitor, the London-based BachTrack, Provincetown Arts and the Provincetown Banner. Her radio show, Opera Betty: opera for people who hate opera, has aired since 2010 on Outermost Radio WOMR and she is the recipient of an Arts Foundation of Cape Cod Writing Fellowship.

NAYA BRICHER

Naya first came to the Work Center in 2012 as a summer intern and joined the full-time staff in 2014. Raised in South Kent, CT, she is an alumna of Miss Porter’s School and Smith College, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with highest honors in studio art. She is a painter, represented by the The Four Eleven Gallery, and a fitness instructor. In addition to the Fine Arts Work Center, she does administrative work for local non-profits such as Trees Provincetown and the Peaked Hill Trust. She lives year-round in Provincetown, MA.

BARBARA GRANDEL
Housekeeping Manager

Barbara Grandel has been the Housekeeping Manager at the Fine Arts Work Center for over five years. She was born and raised in Provincetown, and now lives in Wellfleet with her husband, son and two rescue cats. When she is not working at FAWC, she enjoys spending time in her sewing studio.

JEROME GREENE
Building and Grounds Associate

Jerome has been at Fawc since May 2012 and in Provincetown since 2007. He wears many hats on the FAWC grounds builder,painter, landscaper, and ambassador. He also is a fine artist showing at the Arthur Egeli Gallery on Commercial Street.

KELLE GROOM

Kelle joined the Fine Arts Work Center in February 2015 after serving as Distinguished Writer-in-Residence at Sierra Nevada College, Lake Tahoe where she is now on the faculty of the SNC low-residency MFA program. Prior to this, she was a Black Mountain Institute Fellow at the Library of Congress and at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Her extensive nonprofit experience includes five years as Communications & Grants Manager for Atlantic Center for the Arts and three years as Director of Grants Administration for the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida. She began her nonprofit career as Associate Director of Development for Orlando Opera. Her work appears in The New Yorker, New York Times, Ploughshares, Poetry, and Best American Poetry. Kelle’s books include a memoir, I Wore the Ocean in the Shape of a Girl (Simon & Schuster) and four poetry collections, Spill, Five Kingdoms and Luckily, all from Anhinga Press, and Underwater City (University Press of Florida).  She is a 2020 Massachusetts Cultural Council Fellow in Nonfiction, 2014 NEA Literature Fellow in Prose, and recent director’s guest in residence at CivitellaRanieri, Italy. A Massachusetts native, she now lives in Provincetown.

JENNIFER JEAN
24PearlStreet Program Manager

Jennifer Jean joined the staff as Program Manager of 24PearlStreet in 2021. She’s been awarded a Peter Taylor Fellowship from the Kenyon Review Writers Workshop, a Disquiet FLAD Fellowship from Dzanc Books, and an Ambassador for Peace Award from the Women’s Federation for World Peace. Jennifer is a co-translator of Arabic poetry–as well as an organizer–for the Her Story Is collective. Her prose, poetry, and co-translations have appeared in: Poetry Magazine, Waxwing Journal, Rattle Magazine, Crab Creek Review, DMQ Review, On the Seawall, Salamander, The Common, and more. Her poetry collections include Object Lesson and The Fool. She’s also released the teaching resource Object Lesson: a Guide to Writing Poetry. Jennifer lives in Massachusetts with her family.

SARA SIEGEL
Summer Program Manager

Sara is a lifelong writer and crafter who has worked primarily in community, education, and
arts-based organizations including Mass Poetry and Snow Farm: The New England Craft Program. Sara’s short stories have been published in Wild Violet, Vantage Point, Toasted Cheese Literary Journal, Cleaver Magazine and Bright Sleep Magazine. Her sketch comedy group, Mister Bismuth, makes movies and performs live when they can. She recommends you check out her website www.sara-siegel.com.

VICKY TOMAYKO

Vicky Tomayko is an artist and printmaker who works with a variety of techniques to create one-of-a-kind prints. She teaches at Cape Cod Community College, Provincetown Art Association and Museum, and at the Fine Arts Work Center in the Summer Program. Tomayko manages the Michael Mazur Print Studio for the Work Center during the seven-month Fellowship Residency Program, providing workshops and one-on-one instruction. She is a member of the Visual Committee.

Dawn joined the Work Center in 2002. She received a BFA from Parsons School of Design. She has lived in Provincetown since 2001 where she paints with encaustics, creates 3D animations and graphics, plays guitar and builds websites.
